The Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration (CASI), offered through the Collaborative for Leadership in ASI (CLASI), is an advanced training program that was initiated in 2016 to continue the legacy of excellence in education, research, and practice in the body of knowledge which was originated by Dr. A. Jean Ayres and which has been continued by other researchers, practitioners, and educators.

Is completion of the Modular CLASI CASI programme a recognised Sensory Integration qualification, and how does it work?
The founders of CLASI have many decades of experience in continuing education in ASI. They have developed the Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration (CASI) with an emphasis on optimal learning methods for the various types of content. The result is a six module hybrid program which provides the convenience of self-paced, online learning with onsite learning for hands-on concepts that are enhanced through mentored experiences and feedback.
Upon completion of the programme, learners will critique, analyze, and use advanced theoretical-practical tools of assessment and intervention for best practice using ASI Theory and Practice.
CLASI CASI Modules 1, 2, 4, and 5 are offered through online training, and Modules 1, 3 and 6 are offered live. Each module will provide 30 hours of training, including the assignments, for a total of 180 hours for the program. CLASI is an approved provider of continuing education units (CEU) by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

I work with Adolescents, Adults and Older Adults, is this programme suitable for me?
We always want the training to be relevant to participants and not an exercise that isn’t meaningful. This means ensuring you have access to expert clinicians with experience of doing ASI beyond childhood.
Our lecture team includes therapists who are considered leaders in the practice of ASI beyond childhood. Research, audit-active and published, they have experience in the development of clinical pathways, assessment tools, adaptation of therapy environments and equipment for settings including for secure forensic and acute services across a range of clinical populations. You will find the are approachable and passionate about helping you to think about and find creative ways to do therapy in your clinical setting.
The team strongly suggests that you do your case studies with the population you are currently serving. It is not about the perfect case study, rather the way to use your learning and translate it into practice. The lecture team is here to help you do this.
You will have mentored support from expert clinicians and a peer group ‘community of practice’ to support your learning.
