Who is this workshop suitable for?

ASI-Wise’s workshops and modular programme have provided invaluable, accessible advanced sensory integration training for our mental health inpatient occupational therapists. The flexible training approach, delivered by the most knowledgeable and passionate trainers you could wish for, alongside access to expert and peer community support, both during, and in-between modules, has made for a happy and effective learning experience.

How does the training work on Zoom? Are there breaks?

Day Plan  | Timings are approximate
8.30 am | Tech onboarding Check-in and Coffee - with admin support
9.00 am | Start of workshop and introductions on Day 1
10.30 - 10.50 am | Break and Move
12.30 - 1.15 pm | Lunch
2.30 - 2.45 pm  | Break and Move
4.00 pm - 4.10 pm | Comfort Break
5.00 pm | Official Finish (time for more personal Q&A etc at the end)
5.30 pm | Final Hardstop

Is the workshop a webinar I can just watch?

Workshops are a combination of 3 days of interactive lectures  and learning including:
  • Experiential exercises learning the sensory systems – moving and sensing – including drawing Vestibular Man.
  • Experiential learning: Sensory Spiders and Ladders et al – Homework Day 1
  • Over the three days, these are fun and explanatory short clips from video and specific targetted work on Day 2 video of real clients and consideration presenting occupational performance challenges, and if these might have a sensory origin (or not?) and starting to answer the “So what” question. Moving from a focus on assessing to intervention and sensory strategies.
  • Application to delegates case study via Day 2 homework and team discussion early day 3
  • There are part facilitated group work sessions on zoom, with whole group feedback and problem-solving/myth/barrier busting
  • Group development of personal actions “my next action” and “our local planning” “group/organisation” Action Plans on Day 3.

We  use Telegram to support the workshops before during and after the workshop.

Certificates of attendance are provided for all delegates who participate in our live and interactive workshops.
 
To ensure we offer the right support and the groups are well-organised, we do require individual GDPR signup and this includes questions about where people work and specialism for setting up of groups before the workshop begins.
 
We send you a link to a Gmail form to gather this information. You circulate the link to your team members internally once you have identified who will be attending.
 

 How much does it cost? Do you have an NHS rate?

 Prices for individual’s booking onto this 3 day workshop is £375.00

Total:  Average price: £240 per person for the 3-day Workshop*.

*Special NHS Price for 30 or more delegates: £80 per person/day.
